How To Run Portable Apps On Mac

Setup

  1. Go to ARC Welder’s Chrome Web Store page and click the “Add to Chrome” button.
  2. Confirm the installation of the extension by clicking on the “Add” button.
  3. Open ARC Welder by clicking on its icon in the Chrome App menu.
  4. Select the directory where you would like ARC Welder to store application data records.
  5. Add the apk file of the app that you would like to try.

  1. Download the SDK package from Google’s official website.
  2. Install it just like you would any other application.
  3. Use the AVD Manager (Tools > Android > AVD Manager) to create a simulated virtual device to run in the Android Emulator.
  • If you don’t want to create a brand new one, it’s okay to use one of the pre-configured options.
  1. Run the emulator with the virtual device you’ve created or selected in the previous step.
  2. Go to the android-sdk/tools directory in command prompt and then type:
  • adb install fileName.apk (Windows)
  • ./adb install fileName.apk (Linux or Mac)
  • This will load and install the apk file into the virtual device.

  1. Download BlueStacks from the official website.
  2. Install BlueStacks and run it.
  3. Select which app you want to install from the home page of BlueStacks.
  4. Launch the installed app.
